Titanium
White (PW-6)
The white that changed the world. There
were
basically two white pigment options previous to the discovery of
titanium dioxide: lead carbonate which is toxic (and harder and harder
to come by in today's market), and zinc oxide which brittles greatly
with
age. Titanium leans colder than its predecessors, but its robust
strength and covering power are unrivaled.
Lightfastness: I; Opaque
Made with safflower oil to minimize the
yellowish tinge of linseed oil and improve color longevity.
