Prussian
Blue (PV-27)
Ferripotassiumferricyanide; chemical
wild-child. Those familiar with Prussian Blue know it as the deepest
imaginable blue before black with an unmistakable blue-velvet luster.
Acting like a light-sink, Prussian absorbs all wavelengths save a deep
sonorous blue that echoes from within. Thins greenish, similar to
Phthalo Blue, but without the metallic quality to the
masstone.
Admittedly, our Prussian wields an impressive texture.
Lightfastness: 2 ; Semi-transparent (with transparent leanings.)
Bound in alkali refined linseed oil.
